Job Summary

An Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of a healthcare facility, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of clinical services. They will play a crucial role in coordinating various operational activities, implementing protocols, and collaborating with different departments to enhance the overall functioning of the clinical setting.

  • Strategic Planning - Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the clinical goals and objectives. Work closely with senior management. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance clinical operations.
  • Team Leadership - Supervise and lead a team of operational staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff members.
  • Resource Management - Monitor and manage resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies. Optimize resource allocation. Ensure efficient clinical operations. Meet patient care demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance - Implement quality assurance measures. Continuously assess and improve processes. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Enhance the quality of patient care and overall operational efficiency.
  • Workflow Optimization - Analyze and streamline clinical workflows. Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in operational processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Act as a liaison between healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Stay updated on healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness - Develop and implement emergency response plans. Coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies in emergency situations.
  • Data Analysis - Utilize data and performance metrics. Implement data-driven decision-making processes. Assess and improve clinical operations. Enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position requires a comprehensive approach that focuses on providing quality healthcare services while maintaining efficient operations. It involves managing various aspects, including employee time and productivity management, patient care, administrative tasks, financial management, and regulatory compliance.

Required Education

  • Associate’s degree.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in healthcare operations management.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • N/A

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but can be substituted with related experience in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in healthcare operations management, preferably in a clinical setting.

 

Financial Responsibilities

This position currently handles physical money or negotiates contracts.

Between $500 and $8,000,000 handled annually.

Physical Demands
