Job Summary

The Value-Based Network Specialist implements a regional strategic plan to build a preferred provider network, through strategic relations with clinicians, hospital networks, and external stakeholders. They enforce strategic goal achievement and ensure proper provider engagement and alignment with the company’s value-based vision.

  • The Network Specialist is in charge of a specific region and serves as a specialist on Value-based network agreements. They are accountable for specialist practices and provide both on-site and remote assistance to the regional leadership team and associated practices.
  • Specialist Practices Oversight: Monitor and enforce Value-based network agreements. Provide expertise on specialist practices.
  • On-site and Remote Assistance: Offer on-site support as needed. Provide remote assistance to the regional leadership team.
  • Collaboration Facilitation: Facilitate collaboration among different practices. Provide guidance to drive improvement in risk, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a set of intervention work plans under the guidance of the Value-Based National Network Manager.
  • Identify areas for improvement. Implement strategies to enhance clinical outcomes, financial performance, and operational efficiency within Sanitas the organization and with the different practices, groups, and healthcare systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement: Conduct thorough assessments of current practices. Analyze data related to practice quality measures.
  • Implement strategies: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders. Design targeted interventions. Monitor and adjust plans as needed.
  • Workflow Design and Redesign: Develop and implement workflow design and redesign initiatives. with the different departments. Optimize electronic health records (EHR). Enhance clinical documentation. Improve financial analyses. Enhance performance improvement reporting.
  • Curate the preferred specialist network. Collaborate with IT professionals for system enhancements and network updates. Implement standardized and efficient documentation practices.
  • Improve Financial Analyses: Conduct financial assessments. Implement strategies to enhance financial analysis processes Under the guidance of the Value-Based National Network Manager. Discuss Performance and Improvement Reports with stakeholders.
  • Financial and Quality Performance: Identify root causes of financial and quality underperformance and develop and implement changes to address these issues. Use data analysis and reporting to review and interpret summary data.
  • Identify Root Causes: Conduct thorough data analysis. Utilize reporting tools to review and interpret summary data.
  • Develop and Implement Changes: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to propose changes. Execute designed strategies to address identified root causes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-functional teams to address enterprise and regional issues. Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and the effective resolution of challenges.
  • Participate in Cross-functional Teams: Join relevant teams focused on enterprise and regional issues. Contribute expertise and insights to discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with Various Departments: Establish communication channels with different departments. Foster relationships to ensure seamless operations.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with office staff and physicians at assigned regions. Foster strong relationships with internal departments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

  • Issue Resolution: Identify, track, and resolve operational and transactional issues between assigned practices and the organization. Address network, risk, quality, and care management-related concerns to ensure smooth operations and optimal patient care.
  • Identify Issues: Establish systems for identifying operational and transactional issues. Regularly monitor and assess potential concerns.
  • Track and Resolve Issues: Implement tracking mechanisms for identified issues.
  • Address Network, Risk, Quality, and Care Management-related Concerns: Collaborate with relevant teams to address network-related concerns. Mitigate risks associated with operational and transactional issues. Implement strategies to enhance quality and care management.
  • Preferred Specialist Network Management: Develop and maintain the preferred specialist network, managing its performance and expectations to meet unit cost, utilization, and operational goals defined in the referral program. Monitor and evaluate network performance to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and Maintain Preferred Specialist Network: Identify and recruit specialists to be part of the network. Establish and nurture relationships with specialists.
  • Manage Performance and Expectations: Define performance expectations and standards. Provide clear communication to specialists about program goals. Monitor and Evaluate Network Performance: Implement monitoring systems for performance metrics. Regularly evaluate the network's efficiency and effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise the Value-based network liaisons assigned to the region.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare administration, business, public health or related field or equivalent experience.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Healthcare or physician practice environment,
  • Experience of business segment-specific, products, and terminology, Data analysis, provider relations, or provider experience in a hospital or physician’s office or group setting.
  • Experience in network development and clinical integration.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey performance feedback, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide guidance to network participants.
  • MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerBI, Google, ECW.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, monitoring and reporting progress, and exceeding stakeholder expectations including the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Analytical Thinking: Thinking analytically to evaluate Regional market trends and identify opportunities.
  • Management skills.
