The Compact Sales Specialist is responsible for representing products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory with the ultimate goal of sales. In addition, this position will have a focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment. Some target customers include general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors.

- A friendly and outgoing demeanor, complemented by strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with a talent for building and maintaining long-term business relationships.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Willingness to make "cold calls" in addition to nurturing and expanding existing relationships with well-established customer base
- Keeping updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software
- Dedication to developing and managing a defined territory
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.
- General knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- Maintaining up to date product knowledge
- Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales)
- Demonstrating a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
- General knowledge of retail financing
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
