EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school graduate or GED equivalency preferred.
2. Experience in a health-related facility preferred.
3. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
4. Must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and government agencies/personnel and the general public.
6. Must possess a valid driver’s license and verifiable safe driving record.
7. Must successfully complete the required criminal background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent hand, arm and finger use; standing, walking, bending, twisting (forward, downward, lateral and low), reaching and carrying, lifting, pulling and pushing various weights. Occasional climbing, stepping downward and crawling. Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Frequent wet floors
2. Hard surface floors
3. Occasional dust, fumes and noise
4. Periodic hot, cold or cramped working conditions
5. Body fluid exposure – universal precautions
6. Required to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
