JOB TITLE: Undergraduate Marketing Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Communications
DIVISION: Institutional Advancement 
SUPERVISOR: Director of Marketing & Communications

Pay information: $15/hour 

Please note: This position is reserved for Southeastern students or their spouses. 

This position will start August 1st or later.

 

I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
This job exists to aid in marketing and communicating the overall message of The College at Southeastern by coordinating and executing marketing opportunities for The College at Southeastern.


II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
• This role will be the primary point of contact for all College marketing partners, under the supervision of the associate director and director
• Assist with execution of College messaging and brand awareness strategies 
• Regularly research and suggest new marketing ideas, potential partners, marketing avenues, etc. 
• Meet regularly with other undergraduate-specific staff to collaborate, communicate, and equip them with up to date marketing information and materials related to The College 
• Assist news and copy writer with content ideas and strategy for articles on The College website
• Assist social media manager with paid social media for College marketing 
• Assist team members with other College-specific content creation 
• Collaborate with the office of Financial and Alumni Development with initiatives related to College alumni and marketing to alumni who are parents of potential College students 
• Proactively research and build relationships with youth ministry-related organizations 
• Assist the team as needed in initiatives related to marketing and communicating The College 
• Stay informed and in touch with current College student experience and perception 
• Assist the director as assigned
 

III. OTHER DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES 
• Occasionally accompany College Admissions staff to College recruiting opportunities, especially locally

Qualifications

V. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 
• Required

  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Understanding of the concepts of branding and marketing

  • Collaborative spirit and strong team player

• Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Previous experience with marketing tools
  • Knowledge of content creation best practices

• Communication with the general public as needed

VIII. PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
• Normal physical demands for office work


IX. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT (i.e., necessary travel, unusual work hours, unusual environmental conditions, etc.)
• Flexible to work outside of normal working hours during event-heavy weeks such as the biannual meeting of the Southeastern Society and Board of Trustees and/or during Preview Days 
• Possible travel as a representative of the office of marketing and communications at various conferences and meetings where Southeastern Seminary is being represented (e.g., SBC Annual Meeting, NC Baptist Annual Meeting, etc.) 
• Occasional travel in conjunction with the Admissions team to represent and/or recruit for The College at Southeastern
• Possible occasional travel in conjunction with the Financial and Alumni Development team to communicate with College alumni
