Job Summary:  The Logistics Coordinator is a customer-service oriented individual responsible for receiving and inventory management, job material management and handling, tool and equipment maintenance, recycling and sustainability, operational support, branch-specific duties, safety and compliance. This individual plays a critical role in the overall success of a branch by ensuring appropriate inventory levels, processing purchase orders and other transactions in a timely manner, providing operational support and a superior level of material management.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Performing regular cycle counts for main branch warehouse and fleet vehicles to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Receiving PO’s provided by vendors.
  • Ensuring all received materials are stocked and organized in the branch warehouse.
  • Inventory level management.
  • Staging materials ready for transfer and managing inventory withdrawals and transfers.
  • Utilizing ServiceTrade for parts ordering and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating shipments with carriers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage overall tool issuance and inspection as well as oversee calibration of scales, gauges and other instruments per industry standards and requirements.
  • Oversee recycling and waste management program as well as identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Safely operate equipment and heavy machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment.
  • Overall maintenance and organization of branch warehouse.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions, receipts and shipments are documented accurately in JDE1 and physical records as required.
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of material handling or logistics experience.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly JDE1.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceTrade for parts order updates and job-level status tracking.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with particular attention to detail for managing inventory levels, job material updates and WIP meeting action items.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination between Operations, Shared Branch Services, Managers and Vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms due to handling of potentially explosive materials.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
