Job Summary: This position involves performing all aspects of piping for mechanical fire protection installations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Pipe layout
• Hanger installation
• Rigging
• Lifting
• Piping assembly
• Mechanical assembly
• Fitting all kinds of pipe.
• Working safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up of installation debris.
• Reading and Interpreting System Blueprints and collaborating with the project manager

What We Are Looking For: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2 Years Pipe Fitting, Mechanical/Sprinkler Installation experience.
• Ability to read Blueprints and Schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
• Valid Drivers License with a clear driving record.
• Understanding of Fire Protection Systems.
• Basic Engineering knowledge.
• Related licensure a plus

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
• Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
