Job Summary: The Lead Materials Coordinator is responsible for overseeing inventory management, logistics, and customer support, this position ensures efficient processing, storage, and distribution of fire extinguishers, suppression systems, and related equipment while serving as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and Search & Rescue (S&R) customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse operations for fire protection equipment, including receiving, inventory management, organization, and shipping of extinguishers, suppression systems, and related safety equipment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for S&R customers, internal sales teams, and field technicians, providing expert support and seamless communication throughout the equipment procurement and delivery process.
- Organize and categorize inventory by specific job requirements, project specifications, and customer orders to ensure rapid and accurate fulfillment.
- Conduct daily inventory audits and reconciliation, maintaining thorough records.
- Manage receiving processes, including detailed inspection of incoming shipments, verification of equipment specifications, quality control checks, and proper documentation.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment distribution, including preparing shipping documentation, managing packaging requirements, and ensuring timely delivery to customers and job sites.
- Adhere to safety protocols for handling, storing, and moving specialized fire protection equipment, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Handle complex customer inquiries, resolve equipment-related issues, and provide technical support for S&R teams and internal staff.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and preparation for field readiness, ensuring all items meet stringent safety and performance standards.
- Other duties as assigned by senior management to support warehouse and logistics operations.
