Job Summary:  The Warehouse Maintenance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our organization's facilities and equipment. This position involves coordinating maintenance tasks, overseeing warehouse operations, and collaborating with sub-contractors to facilitate seamless activities.

 

Pay Range:  $18.00/hour - $28.00/hour

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in unloading trucks and receiving shipments
  • Verify that shipments match what had been ordered and work with appropriate personnel to reconcile any discrepancies
  • Maintain an organized inventory in the stockroom to ensure easy accessibility.
  • Run errands and procure parts as needed
  • Handle shipping of urgently required parts via FedEx when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline warehouse operations and uphold an organized work environment.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks around the buildings, including the replacement of lighting fixtures and general upkeep duties.
  • Schedule and oversee metal container pickups, ensuring timely trash container replacements.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including backup power generators, forklifts, and fire pumps.
  • Manage scheduling and supervision of servicing and repairs, ensuring equipment remains in optimal condition.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repair needs.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors for building maintenance, pest control, HVAC, and plumbing requirements.
  • Aid sub-contractors during their visits to our premises.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with sub-contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • PC Skills including MS Office programs and the ability to learn job specific programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good visual acuity and attention to detail to identify potential issues.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require manual dexterity, such as handling tools and equipment.
  • Effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks according to organizational needs.
  • Be a dependable team player, providing support to colleagues as required.
  • Cooperate with fellow team members to ensure seamless operations during absences.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings, which can potentially expose employees to noise, dust, heat stress, thermal stress, low light conditions, heights, etc.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed, which would require use of fall protection equipment and other safety devices
  • Capable of using hand and power tools, including specialty tools resulting in cutting, grinding, drilling, fastening and other methods resulting in torque, vibration, noise, etc.
