Job Summary: The Pre-Engineered Systems Seller is responsible for estimating and selling pre-engineered fire suppression system products (ie Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression Systems/Paint Spray Booth Fire Suppression Systems, etc.) and solutions in the commercial and industrial markets, while also understanding customer needs to provide tailored fire protection recommendations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate, quote and secure sales for kitchen hood systems and paint spray booth systems for commercial and industrial markets.
  • Promote and sell inspection agreements for kitchen hood systems and paint spray booth systems.
  • Stay informed and up to date on Hiller suppression products, systems, and emerging fire protection technologies.
  • Identify potential customers and analyze industry trends regarding NFPA code changes, advancements in suppression agents, and emerging fire risks.
  • Grow customer base by actively prospecting and networking.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers on fire suppression system types, NFPA codes, and local fire protection standards.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend the most suitable suppression solutions based on hazard analysis.
  • Prepare and submit detailed suppression system proposals, including system specifications, pricing, and contractual terms, negotiating with customers to secure projects.
  • Submit regular sales reports and forecasts for suppression systems to management.
  • Achieve sales targets for various suppression system types, fulfill revenue quotas, and contribute to the growth of Hiller’s fire suppression division.
  • Provide exceptional technical customer service, addressing concerns about suppression system performance, maintenance, or code compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

What we are looking for: 

 

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • NICET and/or OEM certification preferred.    Previous experience with Ansul systems preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience selling or installing Pre-Engineered Fire Suppression Systems, with consistent and proven pattern of success in the target market.
  • Candidates must possess strong communication and customer relationship skills and have basic ability to design and provide cost estimates for fire protection systems.
  • Proven knowledge of fire protection market, its major customers/users, major competitors, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions, including basic design and estimates of fire protection systems
  • Proven track record of business to business sales, strong prospecting, selling, negotiation and sales closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal driven.
  • Able to travel to customer sites to perform surveys.
