Key Responsibilities

The Global Program Manager – Transformation & Supply Chain will be located in Southfield, MI and report directly to Mylene Astier, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. 

In this role, the dynamic program manager will oversee multiple strategic initiatives to drive our market leadership, including the strategic relocation of business operations from Mexico to various countries in Asia, including China, Thailand, and the Philippines. The program manager will also drive initiatives that consist in monitoring market conditions, supplier pricing, and economic factors impacting cost fluctuations.  

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program/project management, supply chain management, and purchasing program management. This role requires a professional with 8+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to present confidently to management teams across different regions.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead and manage multiple end-to-end programs, including production transfers from Mexico to Asia
  • Deliver successful production transfers by ensuring demand alignment, plant readiness, PPAP preparation, UL certifications, inventory monitoring, working capital management, etc.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans and provide financial business cases for strategic decision making.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain and purchasing strategies.
  • Monitor and report on program progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful project completion.
  • Present regular program updates and recommendations to Senior Management and stakeholders from various regions: procurement, finance, customer service, supply chain and operations teams.
  • Work with the local supply chain teams to ensure adjustments are being made to production plans to balance inventory levels, material releases.
  • Accountable for establishing a relationship with customer service to ensure that demand is flowing into the production plans in Mexico and the receiving country (example: China, Thailand, etc.).
  • Monitor market conditions, supplier pricing, and economic factors impacting cost fluctuations.
  • Conduct data analysis on a weekly basis to understand impact from inflationary cost pressures, both on material and labor costs.
  • Populate and track KPI’s.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of program management experience including international operational management of supply chain, purchasing and logistics.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-country projects; Southeast Asia region a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management teams from different regions.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, domestically or internationally.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and supply chain ERP software.
  • Site selection skills for manufacturing relocation projects.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Technical PMP mindset and demonstrated ability to manage complexity and adapt quickly.
  • Strong financial and business acumen with hands-on leadership in driving daily decisions.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing industries, with wire harness, automotive, or electronics backgrounds considered an advantage.
  • Fully fluent in English, bilingual in Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus.

Primary Location

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate based in the Southfield, MI area. Open to travel up to 20%, as needed.
