This position will work at various clinics and medical centers in Tomah, Bloomer, Prairie du Chien, Chippewa, and Osseo, Wisconsin and Cannon Falls, Bigfork, and Lake City, Minnesota. Routes are subject to change based upon business needs. The current route schedule is listed below:

Week 1: Monday: Tomah Tuesday: Lake City  Wednesday: Praire du Chien  Thursday and Friday: Cannon Falls

Week 2: Tuesday: Osseo and Bloomer Wednesday: Chippewa  Thursday: Two Harbors Friday: Bigfork

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating magnetic resonance imaging machines and creating diagnostic images of patients according to their physicians’ instructions.
  • Documenting patients' health histories, preparing them for scans, and keeping them relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.
  • Following the orders of the referring physician and protocols and administering prescribed medications
  • Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
  • Transferring images and verifying the images and patient information arrived correctly.
  • Complies with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods, making suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety, promptly correcting or reporting safety hazards or unsafe conditions, promptly reporting injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment, and by participating in safety processes such as safety committee, safety inspections, etc.
  • This position is required to travel up to 100% of the time. 

Qualifications

 Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC proficiency to access job related internet websites, review on-line documentation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently.
  • The ability to follow instructions in stressful environments.
  • Superb bedside manner and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Testing

ARRT, CPR certified, mandatory education, Hepatitis B, TB, Advanced certification in modality must be obtained with 18 months of hire.

 

Physical Demands   

  • Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl

  • Push and pull wheelchairs
  • Carry and lift with the ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam
  • Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
