SUMMARY:
The Workforce Development Trainer Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, offering, evaluating, and teaching various classes for business, industry, and other organizations in the College service area. The Workforce Development Coordinator Trainer reports to the Dean of Workforce Education.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Establishes and maintains contact with business, industry, and other organizations in the district that utilize educational and training programs.
2. Promotes, plans, and coordinates customized educational and training programs for new and existing businesses, industries, and other organizations in the district to include industrial electrical, automation control, industrial maintenance, diesel, energy, welding, plumbing, pipefitting, commercial truck driving, utility lineman, etc.
3. Acts as liaison between the resources available at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the educational and training needs of business, industry, and other organizations in the district.
4. Acclimates instructors to the company or organization, required teaching methods, and the goals of the requested educational or training program.
5. Monitors educational and training classes to ensure that proper instructional times and techniques are being utilized.
6. Coordinates with economic and community development individuals and/or groups concerning educational and training activities needed in the district.
7. Develops, evaluates, organize educational or training classes sponsored through projects funded by Accelerate Mississippi (AMS) and other agencies.
8. Assists in the development of customized and generic curricula for workforce-related educational and training programs.
9. Identifies and/or develops instructional materials needed to teach courses.
10. Teaches courses/workshops in various subject areas such as OSHA-10, forklift, and safety,
11. Assists with the research, development, and teaching of non-credit adult training programs needed by business, industry, education, government, and other entities.
12. Identifies and/or recommends equipment and/or software needed to teach identified training classes.
13. Assists with the development of fliers, brochures, videos, etc. which promote the services of the Workforce Education Center.
14. Reports educational and training needs of business, industry, and other organizations to the Dean of Workforce Education.
15. Organizes, tracks, and maintains control of workforce inventory.
16. Prepares such reports as needed by the Dean of Workforce Education.
17. Develops and implements annual assessment plans and compiles data/results for inclusion in the College’s Annual Assessment Report.
18. Performs other duties as assigned.
