Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain KidSpring vision while aligning it with the overall vision of NewSpring Church
  • Stay relationally unified with your Campus Pastor, Campus staff and Ministry Support teams 
  • Demonstrate a passion for leading KidSpring by:
    • Executing KidSpring vision and values for areas of ministry
    • Giving and receiving feedback concerning KidSpring vision and values, celebrating the wins, but also addressing problems when vision is off
    • Assist KidSpring Director in developing volunteer Lead Teams by regularly meeting to pray for and evaluate the success of KidSpring vision and values
  • Prioritize recruiting and retaining volunteers by:
    • Maintaining accurate rosters in Rock, knowing and recruiting for specific roles that exist inside each area of KidSpring, setting goals for recruiting needs and meet those goals each series
    • Ensuring volunteer leadership structure is in place with the proper care and good communication that equips volunteers for Sunday
    • Develop area leaders/service leaders with bi-weekly’s discussing goals focused on personal, spiritual and professional development
  • Seek out ways to show care for volunteers, parents, and kids by:
    • Being visibly present in KidSpring, speaking to volunteers, parents, and kids
    • Following up on any opportunity to show extra care for kids and families (ex: school/home/hospital visits)
  • Represent KidSpring in campus decisions by communicating how decisions might affect KidSpring vision and offering solutions if a decision negatively impacts KidSpring

Qualifications

  • Do whatever it takes to help the church reach its mission to see everyone, everywhere in an everyday relationship. Occasionally this will mean performing duties and tasks outside of your normal job responsibilities.
  • Uphold Biblical priorities in life, in the order outline below:
    1. Growing personal relationship with Jesus
    2. Relationship with spouse (if married)
    3. Relationship with children (if applicable)
    4. Purpose in life/ministry
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Adhere to and encompass the qualities and characteristics required of NewSpring Church staff members, as defined by the Policies and Procedures Handbook.
  • Financially support the vision of NewSpring Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of gross income.
