The Job

As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with our risk management team on our client engagements. These engagements are varied and no two are the same. Engagements include, but are not limited to, auto finance consulting, report development, and portfolio management. You will be responsible for working in a team environment to see each engagement through from beginning to end, conducting various analytical duties to satisfy our clients’ needs. These duties include, but are not limited to, various financial-related analyses of cash flows, risk assessments, and closing deals.

 

You will also be responsible for being socially focused on the “how can I help you” attitude. You will have certain responsibilities that are similar throughout, but you will also have many opportunities to express your creativity as the needs of our clients change.

 

This is a full-time, onsite role.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assess and validate data accuracy using Excel formulas; the data sets provided by clients may include financials, demographics, contracts, and/or collateral.
  • Synthesize and summarize data using Excel and SQL to identify trends and areas of potential risk.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies using analytical skills.
  • Design reports based on specific financial needs of the company and/or clients; an example is a report that provides snapshot results of a current portfolio management pool.
  • Conduct trend analysis on such things as delinquency, charge offs, and cash flows.
  • Strategize with management on financial projects, such as the evaluation of market trends.
  • Portfolio Pricing.
  • Account/Portfolio reconciliations.
  • Perform other projects and tasks as assigned.

Are You A Fit?

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Math, or Computer Science (or working towards a bachelor’s degree).
  • Advanced MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Basic familiarity with SQL and database architecture.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize daily workloads.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive.
  • Creative, entrepreneurial, and problem solver.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the auto finance industry.
  • Knowledge of programming languages.
  • Statistical background and knowledge.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Staring at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
