Key is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to the Integrated Solutions Group (ISG).  The ISG team contains highly experienced and broadly skilled project managers and project engineers working together to bring successful solutions to a wide variety of customer situations.

The Project Manager will direct and execute large food processing and material handling projects from scope definition through equipment design, manufacturing, plant installation, commissioning, and start-up operation. Project size ranges from processing or material handling line upgrades to a complete green-field plant. The Project Manager is responsible for project coordination, communication and issue resolution from inception through full customer acceptance. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned projects according to Key processes, concepts, stages and constraints.
  • Partners with internal Key stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Operations, Service, etc.), customers, subcontractors, and strategic partners to plan and execute each stage of the project.
  • Evaluates and selects subcontractors. Works closely with department managers and subcontractors to obtain staffing commitments.
  • Meet regularly with stakeholders to asses and evaluate project status and next steps. Publish project status reports and provide regular financial summaries.
  • Directs the project scope, planning, design, production and liaison of projects. Develops installation plans, supervises installation crews, and monitors equipment build and delivery schedule.
  • Collaborate with the sales team assisting in developing strategies to meet the customers’ goals, needs and expectations.
  • Assist and direct generation of project quotations and presentation materials. Generate internal working project budgets, timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide customer interface, support, and liaison between stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings with customer, Key personnel, subcontractors, and others as appropriate.
  • Manage change orders.
  • Lead factory acceptance tests, equipment start-up, and training activities.
  • Lead dry and wet system commissioning.
  • Issue project closure letter to customer.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
     

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directs the activities of those who are assigned to assist with the various disciplines and stages of projects.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering or equivalent and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Project management training and three years project management experience is required. Formal Project Management training is preferred. 
  • Equipment design or system integration experience using 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) required.
  • Experience in Food Processing Industry is highly desirable.
