JOB DUTIES
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as sorting systems, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as motors, scanners, readers, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Test malfunctioning machinery and determine malfunction.
- Ability to terminate power cabinet with meticulous attention to detail.
- Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices.
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards
- Replace electric motor bearings and rewires motors
- Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in the facility
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment installation specifications.
- Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed
- Adheres to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, ARC Flash understanding and awareness, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices.
