Pay Range: $16.28 - $17.34/hr
Supervises: N/A
Status: Seasonal, Six Month (Dec-April), Part-Time

ON-MOUNTAIN FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLET SERVER: (must be 21+ and be able to ski or snowboard) these are located in different locations on the mountain so must be a proficient skier/rider to get to the location , possibly carrying a backpack or food items. Responsible for selling food and drinks to guests in an outdoor location.

Responsible for the sale of products at the outpost they are assigned to.  Provide lunch to Mission Ridge guests.   Offer the highest quality product with exceptional service. Complete guest satisfaction is the ultimate goal.  Keep the Outpost location clean, organized and stocked. Assist in cleaning, baking, cooking and preparing food for our guests to purchase.  This person should be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment under some pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude at all times. Guest service oriented. The atmosphere is team directed and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

  • Operate the cash register for a working shift.   Responsible for a bank as well as the day’s transactions.

  • Reconcile and balance receipts to a system sales report.   Fill out a daily cash sales report.

  • Bussing and end of shift clean up.

  • To assist guests with menu selection. 

  • Working with a convection oven, steam tables, and gas BBQ.

  • Additional duties include making sandwiches, preparing specialty foods and shift clean up.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of regional beers and wine. 

  • A Washington State Health District Food Server Permit and Class 12 or 13 Servers permit is required.

  • Exceptional money handling skills, organizational skills

  • Persons who sell beer and wine, and operate a cash register need to be 21 years of age minimum.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The outpost locations are an outdoor environment located at the top of Chair Lift #2 and the base of the bomber cliffs.  Skiing or Riding is required to get to the location. Must be blue run capable while carrying items  Working on and around snow cats or snowmobiles is a possibility.

Seeing: REGULARLY  Must be able to read

Hearing: REGULARLY  Must be able to hear well. Guest service communication and employee communication are essential.

Standing/Walking: REGULARLY Consistent and constant standing and walking while in operation, as well as being flexible in movement to different areas of the lodge.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: REGULARLY

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: REGULARLY Transporting food and beverage to and from Midway requires lifting of items up to 100 lb. in and on a snowcat trailer.  The trailer needs to be loaded and unloaded twice a day. Snow removal of the roof and deck.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: REGULARLY Must be able to write, type, and use phone system.
