About This Role
The Bartender interacts and collaborates heavily with the Wait Staff, Kitchen, and Management teams to ensure exceptional experiences. Energy, enthusiasm, reliability, and passion for the work, the people and the customers are key to achieving success in this role.
Key Responsibilities may Include:
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, taking orders and serving food and beverages
- Assess bar customers’ needs and preferences and drive customer sales through menu recommendations, collecting payments and managing POS-related functions
- Assist in assuring that guest bar areas are neat, clean, and orderly, at all times
- Assist with bar and restaurant opening, set-up and closing restaurant requirements
- Partner with leadership to maintain proper dining flow
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal partners, assisting with customer inquiries
- Partner with teammates throughout the organization to drive operational efficiency and excellent customer experience
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a bartending role required
- Experience in the event, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight 8 or more hours in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
- Knowledge of cocktail science, classic cocktails, liquors, beers and building blocks of mixology
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) language skills a plus
- California Food Handler’s Card required
- California RBS certificate required
