POSITION SUMMARY:

Person in this position will serve as a member of the Research and Evaluation team with responsibility for supporting all activities related to the implementation of the program’s Research and Evaluation Plan.  Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Collect baseline, discharge, and follow-up data on clients.
  • Score assessment instruments.
  • Maintain tracking and follow-up log for clients.
  • Monitor quantitative and qualitative data collection processes.
  • Coordinate the compilation and management of data.
  • Conduct basic statistical analysis.
  • Produce reports for the Project Director and/or Regional Vice President.
  • Provide feedback to the Project Director and/or Regional Vice President regarding attainment of goals and objectives as well as data collection.
  • Engage and build rapport with clients to assist with tracking and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support to supervisor.
  • Assist other WestCare staff as needed in collaborative manner to promote cooperation and portray professional image to community.
  • Embrace and embody mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with and knowledge of data collection tools (i.e. standardized instruments, surveys, information obtained from database, etc.).
  • Ability to create databases in Excel, SPSS, etc.
  • Understands the construction of variables.
  • Basis understanding of statistical data.
  • Familiarity and utilization of basic graphic programs such as Power Point.
  • Ability to interpret basic statistics.
  • Ability to work and communicate with multi-disciplinary teams and to interface with internal/external departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to organize work and utilize great time management.
  • Understanding of and ability to apply ethical principles.
  • Understanding to talk to and communicate with clients in an effective and appropriate manner.
  • Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in a manner that is pleasant and professional.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (research related) and one (1) year of equivalent experience in evaluation and/or research.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed primarily in a professional, office setting.
  • Regular attendance is required.  Working overtime is required and essential to perform job duties at times.
  • The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids or tissues.  However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee.
