Assistant Professor of Kinesiology

Illinois College invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Kinesiology to begin in Fall 2025.

Primary responsibilities include teaching exercise physiology, exercise testing, and strength training and/or conditioning. Preference for candidates who can also teach nutrition. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and skilled teacher, as well as an advisor and mentor to undergraduate students, particularly those preparing for careers in athletic training, physical therapy, and other health-related fields. Ability and interest in engaging in research with students and contributing to the Biology Department’s growing research program are also strongly preferred.

Doctorate preferred; master’s degree considered with strong experience.  Position is tenure-track for candidates with appropriate credentials (earned doctorate or advanced ABD).

Faculty positions at Illinois College have a starting salary range of $54,000 - $70,000 for the nine-month academic year with individual offers depending on field, experience, and education.
