The Illinois College Psychology Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Psychology to begin August 2025.
We seek candidates with clinical or research backgrounds in counseling or addiction studies who can successfully teach courses including Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Counseling, Crisis Intervention and Counseling, and Introduction to Addictive Disorders.
The successful hire will also teach courses for the Psychology Major including Introduction to Psychology. Applicants must have a commitment to undergraduate teaching, advising, and developing an undergraduate student-faculty research program. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential. Experience teaching in-person and online courses at the college level is preferred.
Illinois College seeks candidates who have a commitment to working closely with a wide range of students. Currently, our population is approximately one-quarter students of color and 40% first-generation college students. Eagerness and ability to work with these populations is essential. Equally important is commitment to evidence-based pedagogy.
A completed doctorate degree is preferred, but highly qualified advanced candidates will be considered. Applicants should submit the following materials in PDF format.

Faculty positions at Illinois College have a starting salary range of $54,000 - $70,000 for the nine-month academic year with individual offers depending on field, experience, and education.
