Job Title: Director of E-Commerce

Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of E-Commerce to lead all aspects of our online sales and digital presence. This role will be responsible for developing and executing e-commerce strategies that drive revenue, improve user experience, and strengthen our competitive positioning in both organic and paid search. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of digital marketing (SEO/SEA), website management and redevelopment, UX/UI best practices, and emerging optimization trends such as GEO targeting and LLM (AI-driven search).
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Strategy & Leadership
- Own the overall e-commerce roadmap, setting growth objectives and defining success metrics.
- Manage the P&L for online revenue channels and align performance with broader business goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.
Digital Marketing & Growth
- Develop and oversee multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, including search engine advertising (SEA), SEO, paid social, and display.
- Optimize campaign performance for ROI, ROAS, and incremental revenue impact.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
Website Development & UX/UI
- Lead e-commerce website redevelopment and redesign projects, ensuring scalability and high performance.
- Partner with design and technical teams to deliver an intuitive and engaging user experience across desktop and mobile.
- Champion A/B testing and CRO to continuously improve site conversion rates.
Search Optimization (SEO, GEO & LLM)
- Direct technical, content, and off-site SEO strategies to maximize organic visibility.
- Implement GEO optimization strategies to enhance local and regional market presence.
- Prepare websites for LLM-driven search through structured content, schema markup, and AI-friendly optimization practices.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of e-commerce and digital marketing professionals.
- Manage external vendors, agencies, and platform partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, product, IT, and operations.

Technical & Digital Expertise
- Deep knowledge of e-commerce platforms and frameworks, including experience with PHP-based frameworks (Laravel or Symfony preferred.
- Familiarity with CMS and e-commerce integrations, APIs, booking engines, and CRM systems.
- Not required, but hands-on technical knowledge of PHP frameworks will be considered a strong plus when collaborating with web development teams and agencies.
Analytical & Operations
- Data Analysis & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to interpret e-commerce performance data, track key metrics (KPIs), and proactively address challenges.
- Financial Management: Skills in managing budgets effectively and understanding financial metrics to ensure profitability.
- Operations Management: Experience in overseeing online store operations, managing product pricing strategies, and forecasting demand.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $120,000 - $140,000, depending DOE
- Bonus: Performance based incentives tied to e-commerce growth and profitability
