Job Summary:

Proficient in multiple roles, including preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, providing support across various Steeple Coffee positions as needed, delivering food and beverage orders to customers efficiently, and assisting in food preparation and kitchen operations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Barista

  • Create and serve coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, lattes, etc.) with consistency.
  • Engage with customers, offering recommendations and creating a positive service experience.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized.
  • Maintain knowledge of coffee brewing methods, beans, and equipment.
  • Assist with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory for the coffee bar.
  • Help with disposing of trash and keeping the coffee bar organized.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to prepare Steeple Coffee for the next day.

 

Floater/Runner

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout Steeple Coffee.
  • Help with customer service and support during busy periods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to customers.
  • Clear and sanitize tables in the dining area, ensuring a clean environment for customers. 

 

Kitchen Assistant

  • Prepare food items, such as sandwiches, salads, or baked goods, according to café standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines in food handling.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
  • Support catering events as needed.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and availability for kitchen staff.
  • Help with disposing of trash and keeping the kitchen areas organized.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to prepare the kitchen for the next day.

Days Worked: Monday through Friday / Sunday through Thursday (may vary) with occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate church activities and events.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Friendly and hospitable
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

 

Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of related experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
