Job Summary:
Oversees the strategic operations and management of the Peachtree Gym’s recreational and preschool gymnastics, cheer and tumbling program, in addition to the competitive gymnastics/cheer programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Primary Job Functions:
- Strategic and logistic planning for classes, staffing & programming
- Manage operational budget for Gymnastics & Cheer department
- Manage and complete departmental biweekly payroll
- Order equipment, merchandise/gear and departmental resources
- Oversee all aspects of hiring/termination process for gymnastics department staff
- Confirm USAG/USASF status is active with necessary requirements met
- Manage overall staff and programming schedules
- Train gymnastics workforce on customer service expectations and safety regulations
- Schedule and Conduct staff training sessions for Continuing Gymnastics Education
- Check Equipment Safety
- Manage department equipment inventory and assess equipment needs for repair and program growth
- Meet regularly with Director of Recreation Ministry to actionably keep goals and programs in line with departmental and ministry budget and mission
Day to Day Tasks:
- Oversee scheduling of staff for classes, lessons, parties, camps and events
- Create effective and efficient rotation schedules
- Advise and contribute to weekly lesson plan development
- Manage communication with employees, clients and potential clients
- Maintain efficient responsive customer service through emails, phone call and responding to voicemails
- Accounting tasks: input receivables and execute payables
- Orientate new staff with policy & procedures, critical incident plan, uniform expectations and schedules
- Regular staff communications
- Register for JO competitive competitions
- Orientate new staff with Policy & Procedures Notebooks, Critical Incident Plan books, Shirts and Schedules
- Update Staff Communications
- Plan most appropriate equipment ordering needs
- Input registration and private lessons money
- Assist with maintaining a clean, professional environment including, but not limited to: the gymnastics lobby, bathrooms, classrooms, gymnastics center and office
- Evaluate students for upper level class or competitive team placement
Days Worked: Monday through Friday / Sunday through Thursday (may vary) with occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate church activities and events.
