Wonderfully Made is a ministry of Peachtree Church dedicated to creating community and belonging for special needs adults who are referred to as “Wonder Makers.” The program ministry is scheduled to begin in September 2024 with a small cohort of “Wonder Makers” in anticipation of the new bakery facility and full program launch in January 2025.

 

The Wonderfully Made Coordinator (WMC) will have a collaborative spirit, helping to launch a new program in partnership with engaged founders who will serve as the ministry leaders. The WMC will have a heart for Christian discipleship, participating as a member of the Peachtree Church staff and leading Wonderfully Made as a Christian ministry that extends the love of Christ through community.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Program Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day needs of the program, which will include responsibilities such as securing room reservations, room setup, supply management, and serve as liaison with the Peachtree hospitality and facility teams.

 

Volunteer Management: Coordinate volunteers; communicate with volunteers regarding their schedule; arrange volunteer substitutes when needed; care for volunteers to ensure a great volunteer experience.

 

Administration: At the direction of the Peachtree Church Finance and HR department, ensure necessary paperwork for volunteers and participants is complete and up to date; submit invoices and receipts for reimbursement; order supplies; support ministry team leaders as requested.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

A background in special education, social work, or a related field is often preferred, as is experience working with special needs populations. Additionally, a personal commitment to Christian discipleship and value for Peachtree Church’s mission and culture are essential.

 

Related Experience: Demonstration of attention to detail and accuracy, communicate effectively with stakeholders, proactively manage scheduling, order and manage supplies, and ability to take direction from executive leadership.

 

Education and Credentials: While specific educational requirements can vary, a bachelor's degree is often preferred.

 

Program and Staff Management: Experience in managing programs, staff, and volunteers, including recruitment, training, and supervision. Ability to manage events, both internally for program participants and externally with donors and supporters.

 

Communication: Skillful relating to people and building relationships is essential. Ability to use communication tools and software to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

 

Commitment to Christian Values: A deep understanding of Christian principles and a strong commitment to the values and mission of the program.
