The GPH ELA teacher will:
- Plan and Deliver Instruction: Teach foundational ELA skills for students having difficulty with ELA through whole-class, small-group, and 1:1 support tailored to student mastery levels.
- Curriculum Development: Create, adapt, and refine curriculum, scope and sequence, and lesson plans for grades 5–8 ELA interventions.
- Collaboration: Work with Middle School leadership, Department Leads, and Special Education staff to make decisions regarding curriculum, assessments, programming, and to implement best practices, MTSS/RTI accommodations, and data-driven instruction plans.
- Student Growth: Build systems to motivate and assess student progress through rubrics, assessments, and progress monitoring.
- Program Support: Help develop MTSS structures, Gryphon Power Hour logistics, and related reports.
- Family and Community Engagement: Participate in parent-teacher conferences and actively engage with families.
