What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a Director of Software Quality Assurance to join our Technology team. This position is responsible for leading the successful delivery of implemented technology solutions across all OA technologies and products. Also responsible for managing Quality Assurance efforts, for both manual and automated testing, Releases, Risk Management, and technical documentation.

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of onshore and offshore QA professionals. This includes hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure that the QA team is adequately staffed and that resources are allocated effectively to meet projects deadlines and quality standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the QA department to ensure alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Methodology Development: Lead the development and implementation of robust QA methodologies, including both manual and automated testing frameworks.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and practices to enhance product quality and testing efficiency – Leading the enablement of CI/CD processes from QA’s perspective.
  • Best Practices: Establish and enforce QA best practices, standards, and guidelines across the QA teams and the broader development organization.
  • Test Planning: Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases for web and app products.
  • Automation Testing: Lead the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to ensure efficient and effective test coverage.
  • Manual Testing: Ensure thorough manual testing is conducted where automation is not feasible, focusing on user experience and edge cases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, development, and Project management teams to ensure seamless integration of QA processes into the development lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management on QA progress, issues, and resolutions. Ensure clear communication of QA status, risks, and metrics.
  • Metrics Tracking: Establish and track key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of QA efforts and drive continuous improvement.
  • Reporting: Produce detailed QA reports and dashboards to provide visibility into quality status, defect trends, and testing progress.
  • Defect Management: Identify, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle. Ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify where to focus more and where to focus less and develop mitigation strategies.

 

What You Will Need:

 

  • 10+ years of quality assurance experience, with 5+ years of experience managing  QA functions
  • Experience with Functional, Non-Functional, End to End, UI, and regression testing
  • Experience in leading automated testing solutions in Selenium with C# automation for Web and Native Apps
  • Experience with implementing methodologies and flows that enable CI/CD
  • Experience with Agile methodologies for SDLC
  • Experience in managing offshore teams preferred.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Detailed knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Monday, and other agile tools
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of leading structure and methodology changes within a fast-moving environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education - Computer Science preferred.
  • Experience in working in a B2C/Consumer digital product environment preferred.
  • Ability to work from home for extended periods of time including reliable internet connection
  • Willing to work with Offshore - early morning or late evening meeting a few times a week via local team leads

The starting annual base pay for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year. The actual base pay offered may vary based on candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.

 

In addition to the base pay, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus as part of the compensation package.
