Position: Full Stack Developer
This is one position to develop/maintain several applications, used by different groups of users. Nearly all systems involve user interface development, so applicants should have strong front end development experience.
The primary application to be developed/maintained will be used by an engineering company for testing nuclear reactors. The application is a desktop Python program, which uses a small custom math library written in Rust. The program will use SQL to export data and create reports. The Python system is replacing two other legacy systems written in Visual Basic; familiarity (not proficiency) of VB would be beneficial, so the developer can read code for the legacy systems and glean logic if needed. The developer must be able to write user manuals, and document software testing, in accordance with nuclear industry specifications. The developer should be able to travel to the Chicago office for multi-day visits, especially during the first several months when the developer is learning the software.
Once testing and deployment of the Python application has been completed, the next role to fill is to take over the management of six ASP.NET applications, for a separate engineering companies. These applications include public facing websites, small customer portals, and two large web applications for internal use only. These web applications extensively use C#, HTML, CSS, and SQL; they also use JavaScript, resources in Azure, and Entity Framework. The developer must be onsite at the Nunn, Colorado location a couple days per month.
