Location: We are looking for a Regional Sales Representative in the state of North Carolina with preference of someone living within a 150-mile radius of Charlotte, NC.  The person in this role will cover a territory of approximately 120 miles. This is fully remote position. 

We are also looking for Regional Sales Reps in and around Montgomery and Louisville.

Role

• Applied Technical Services (ATS) is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Field Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in proactive face-to-face selling with professional experience selling preferably within industrial or technical settings.
• You will be responsible for driving sales growth by expanding contacts with each assigned customer and selling the core offer (Testing, Inspection, & Calibration), developing and managing long-term client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions across critical industries including aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, health and life sciences, food and beverage, defense, power generation, chemicals, construction, and pulp & paper.

Responsibilities:

• Identify sales leads and collect pertinent information from clients

• Proactively engage in outside selling activities with roughly 150 –200 customer locations, expanding relationships within these accounts.

• Inform clients about ATS services and provide demonstrations

• Cultivate relationships with existing clients to secure their future business

• Utilize customer service and negotiation skills to close deals

• Use CRM software and update database regularly

• Support industry and Company related events and activities, including but not limited to retailer events/demos, trade shows, training schools, and regional training center activities.

• Develop mutually beneficial, respectful, and effective relationships with peers to ensure seamless coordination between departments, maximize synergy, and maintain a shared vision, strategy, and focus

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of proven experience in proactive outside selling, with a strong track record of achieving results

• Conduct at least 60% of time in the field engaging with the customers and locations in assigned territory

• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or trade certificates preferred, or equivalent work experience in professional selling in industrial or technical environments

• Demonstrated expertise in technical or industrial sales, preferably within critical industries

• Strong understanding of technical services and their applications, with the ability to convey complex solutions clearly

• Familiarity with quality, safety, or reliability processes and regulations within relevant industries.

• Market knowledge of local and geographic dynamics affecting customer needs and buying behaviors

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Able and willing to work necessary hours to meet all project deadlines

• Valid driver’s license
