LITIGATION ASSOCIATE-NJ Office
The New Jersey office of Norris McLaughlin, P.A., has an opening for a litigation associate. The candidates should have 4-6 years’ experience in personal injury/liability defense litigation and experience working with medical records, medical providers and expert witnesses The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong Litigation team.
Responsibilities:
- A significant portion of workload will include defending public entities in Tort Claim matters, as well as §1983 Civil Rights litigation. This work will include the following responsibilities:
- Drafting discovery demands and working with clients to respond to discovery.
- Research and drafting in connection with motion practice.
- Defending and taking depositions of parties, witnesses and experts.
- Working with medical providers, including experts.
- Appearances in state and federal courts.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Superior academic credentials
- Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills
- Must be bar admitted in the state New Jersey
- Must have New Jersey State court experience (federal court experience is a plus, but not required)
