Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Geriatric Nursing Assistant at Carroll Lutheran Village!This position will work day shift (7a-7p) in our Health Care center. This is a Full time position

What You’ll Do as a GNA at Carroll Lutheran Village:

  • Assist nursing staff with completion of older adult resident activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, oral care.
  • Perform vital signs on older adult residents at beginning of each shift and as directed.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the safety of our senior residents.
  • Assist with motivating senior residents to help keep them active and engaged.

Hourly wage will be based on candidate qualifications including relevant years of experience and certifications/education

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a CCRC environment is a plus
  • Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with older adult residents
  • Ability to listen attentively is essential
  • A willingness to navigate changes in assignments
  • Previous experience developing relationships and interacting with older adult residents to increase their comfort level
  • Prior knowledge organizing social activities for older adult residents is a plus
  • Current CPR Certification
