Position Title: Game Operations/Athletic Communications Student Worker
Department : Warner Athletics


Position Summary: The Athletic Department seeks to employ students who embody the understanding and skills to assist faculty, staff, students and guests in their various needs. As an extension of Warner Athletics, Student Workers are expected to act with Biblical grace and integrity in their actions and words. The Warner Athletic Department intends to assist our Student Workers by aiding them professionally, personally, and spiritually to prepare for life outside of Warner.


Responsibilities:

  • Setup: assist with setting up the ticketing area, concessions area and any other duties assigned.
  • Assist with money collection and card readers for ticketing and
  • concessions.
  • Post signs and/or necessary items at the appropriate locations before the start of the games.
  • End of game clean up: Assist with tear down the tables, chairs, and concession materials and any other duties assigned.

SPECIFIC GAME DAY DUTIES:

  • Event Coordinator/VIP Coordinator: Assist the AOD as needed.
  • Focus to ensure all teams/players/VIP guests have all tools needed to play.
  • Fill in at different areas if needed.
  • Ensure officials have food/drinks during half times/between games.
  • Ensure all workers are on task.
  • Responsible for the security of VIP areas (Football.)
  • Ticketing/Gate: Patience and courtesy to all fans purchasing tickets is required. I
  • Assist spectators with online ticket purchasing.
  • Concessions: Responsible for the set up and tear down of the concessions area.
  • Responsible for money collection/money security/money turn in.
  • Crowd Control/Gate Security (TYE/TAC): Responsible for ensuring anyone in the facility (i.e. playing area/field) is permitted to be there.
  • Balls/Floor Crew (Volleyball/Soccer/FB): Responsible for collecting the balls on the side line and making sure they are readily available to be given to the players/officials throughout the game.
  • Attention to the game and to stay alert in case of floor assistance (mopping/drying the game floor.)
  • Parking Director (TYE/SB/Soccer): Responsible for helping usher cars down Presidents Drive for TYE/SB games and/or directing cars into parking spots for soccer games.


Qualifications:

  • Supportive of Warner’s mission, vision and core values, commitment to a Christian lifestyle, and demonstration of character in keeping with biblical models.
  • Exceptional teamwork ability as the position necessitates working closely with coaches, students and staff
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study as a current student of Warner University

Reports to:
 Athletic Administrative Coordinator or the Game Operations Manager
