We are seeking an Application Engineer/Technologist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in reviewing, supporting, and applying our products to a variety of industries. By working closely with customers, the technical sales team, and our design engineering department, you will help ensure our products are applied and set up for operational success, driving improvements in equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret customer requirements to support sealing solutions for rotating equipment, ensuring fit and function for enhanced reliability.
  • Collaborate with the technical sales team and customers to offer expert advice and solutions for sealing device performance.
  • Apply industry standards (API, ANSI) and incorporate mechanical integrity knowledge to support the optimal use of products.
  • Conduct failure analysis and provide root cause analysis to recommend improvements for product performance.
  • Contribute to the global knowledge database, ensuring access to valuable technical resources and product documentation for team members and clients.
  • Provide technical and commercial support for EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (preferred but not required).
  • 1-3 years of experience with rotating equipment, mechanical seals, or customer service (preferred but not required).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of fluid dynamics, tribology, thermodynamics, and material science (metallurgy, elastomers).
  • Knowledge of industrial chemical processes and the impact of process upsets on equipment reliability.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams with excellent communication skills in a hybrid work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on process quality and methodology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Typing speed of 40-60 words per minute.
