CAPI PCL PARENT EDUCATION COORDINATOR   

The CAPI PCL Parent Education Coordinator is an administrative position between the CAPI PCL  

Parenting Program and Early Learning Program(s). This role is a part-time role, within the  

Parent Engagement Program(s) Department.  This position will be housed in SEI’s Community + Family Programs (CFP) Building. The CAPI PCL Family Education Coordinator supports administrative and technical support for programs within the Parent Engagement Department. The CAPI PCL Family Education Coordinator sets up and implements participant skill development groups, training and class opportunities for SEI program(s) enrolled participants.  This includes; assessment of participant needs, assistance with the design of training materials in cooperation with CFP programs leadership, coordination of the delivery of training programs (both Parent Engagement specific training/education as well as CFP/agency wide training and education), tracking and monitoring of the results.  This is a part-time position that reports to the Parent Engagement Programs Manager.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Conduct data entry and manage databases with attention to detail. Obtain & report weekly attendance for facilitated classes to the Data department.  Inclusive of all participant attendance for classes/groups/events.  

  • Organize and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for new and existing participants in CAPI programs.  

  • Actively manage ongoing recruitment efforts during and between program cohorts, ensuring consistent engagement with potential participants.  

  • Assist with executing outreach campaigns, both online and in-person, to increase program visibility and participant enrollment.  

  • Assist with facilitating home visits for enrolled, participating families (in absence of Parent Educator); at least 2 per week, per enrolled cohort.  

  • Assist with weekly check-ins with parents via phone, text, email, or in person to ensure goals are being met.  

  • Assist in the preparation of meetings, including setting up rooms and preparing necessary materials.  

  • Aid and assist in program/class recruitment and advertisement, including but not limited to social media and participant contact.  

  • Identify and secure culturally specific partnerships and collaboration opportunities.  

  • Collaborate with office ambassadors to secure and distribute large monthly orders.   

  • Work closely with CAPI PCL parent educator to support participants having technical barriers during virtual and hybrid parenting classes weekly.  

  • Work closely with CAPI PCL parent educator to ensure intake documents and retrospective surveys are completed and uploaded into ETO correctly and on time.  

  • Collaborate with Program Manager to follow-up on website and in-house referrals for interested parties.   

  • Support Programs within Parent Engagement Department with events/classes/groups however feasible.  

  • Work with other departments across SEI to leverage resources and accomplish shared goals.  

  • Accept other appropriate duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.  

  

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience coordinating and project management.  

  • Associate, bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience  

  • Must have effective interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully motivate and connect with others.  

  • Must be self-motivated with excellent organizational skills, with the ability to successfully engage a wide spectrum of parents.  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekend  

  • Must have current and valid state driver’s license, in good standing with no insurability restrictions and must be insurable under SEI’s auto insurance policy  

  • Significant training and work experience in social service, facilitation skills and overall parent engagement  

  • Must be certified in Parents as Teachers curriculum (candidates can be certified upon hire if necessary)  

  • Knowledge of community resources  

  • Excellent computer skills; Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe and Canva.
