DIRECTOR OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
 

Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Director Strength & Conditioning, to begin immediately. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics and the Director of Athletics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organization, administration and supervision of the intercollegiate Strength and Conditioning programs, including, but not limited to:
  • Facility schedule design
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Assistant Director and Intern Management & development
  • Strength & conditioning team program design and implementation
  • Knowledge and compliance with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulations.
  • Budget management

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, and Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior experience with collegiate athletics programs required.
  • CSCS or SCCC certification required.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier.

 

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:  Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as a coeducational liberal arts college to serve the local community. Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Bridgewater is home to approximately 1,400 full-time students from 26 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study across 60 majors and minors, in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs. Bridgewater College is an NCAA DIII school with approximately 40 percent of its students participating in intercollegiate athletics on 23 teams.
