ASSISTANT MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TENNIS COACH
 

Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach, to begin immediately. This is a part-time position, reporting to the Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Assisting the head coach in all facets of a Division III tennis program
  • Recruiting prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of the program and the College
  • Organizing & conducting on-court coaching during practices and games
  • Assist with program marketing and branding on a multitude of platforms, including social media
  • Providing mentoring and support for the student-athletes, particularly in regards to academics and player development
  • Complying with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Prior collegiate coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate playing experience required.
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:  Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as a coeducational liberal arts college to serve the local community. Located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley, just minutes outside of Harrisonburg and within driving distance of Charlottesville, Washington D.C., and Richmond, Bridgewater is home to approximately 1,400 full-time students from 26 states and 19 countries. Bridgewater students study across 60 majors and minors, in addition to four graduate programs and 10 pre-professional programs. Bridgewater College is an NCAA DIII school with approximately 40 percent of its students participating in intercollegiate athletics on 23 teams.
