Licensed to operate ‘A’ tractor and trailer or ‘B’ straight truck with airbrakes to and from event site. Maintains and records all documentation for truck services. Also, extensive travel required for providing set up, operation and teardown of programs.
Responsibilities:
- Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination, pickups with tag behinds, or box trucks, usually long distances
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills at all times
- Maintain driver log according to D.O.T. regulations and submit trip to reports to Program Manager in accordance based on predetermined deadlines
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies before and after trips and submit condition report within weight limitations of the assigned truck and trailer
- May perform emergency roadside repairs (changing tires or installing light bulbs) and always notify Program Manager and Transportation Manager of all repairs
- Maintain daily telephone contact with Program Manager while traveling
- Responsible for all truck receipts, trip reports, log books and expense reports
- Submit to drug testing as required by law
- Assist workers in loading and unloading trucks
- Perform on site duties on event days
- Adheres to all policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including all safety policies and amended rules and regulations, such as the Hands Free Cell Phone Policy
- Responsible for vehicle walk around prior to leaving the warehouse with any vehicle
- Must be willing to team drive on occasion, pending the parameters of the assigned event (rare)
