Description

General Nature of Position: Serves customers by providing product and service information; resolving product and service problems. 

Full-Time, $18.00/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle commercial, residential, and roll-off customer calls for new accounts, changes in service, billing questions, service cancellations, misses etc.
  • Complete appropriate forms and data entry as required ensuring accurate billing of stops, starts and adjustments on customer accounts
  • Inform customers on the services that we have to offer, such as types of bins, rates, and special service programs that are available
  • Generate credit and debit memos as necessary
  • Project a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, positive, attitude that encourages customer confidence and reflects the professional image desired by Atlas Disposal Industries
  • Available for overtime as needed
  • Able to perform clerical tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties that are assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • High School Diploma
  • Job related courses a plus

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 2-3 years of customer service is desired
  • Industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all departments and personnel
  • Excellent telephone communication skills required
  • Strong ability to work well with people, under pressure and with stringent time restraints
  • Proficient in negotiations and problem solving
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  •  Flexible enough to handle multiple tasks and be detail oriented
  • Must be proficient and accurate in ten key and data entry
  • Knowledge of Route Manager is desirable
  • PC working knowledge in windows environment is a must
  • Basic Math skills required
