Location: The Woodlands, TX 

Amount of Travel Required: Less than 5% 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm

POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will provide comprehensive administrative support across all functions of the HR department, including talent acquisition, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. 

 .

This position is an entry-level role that offers an excellent foundation within the Human Resources field. 

 .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.") 

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation including personnel files, HRIS data, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Processes new employees' Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification).
  • Provides administrative support for employee benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, compliance, and other HR-related tasks as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensures compliance with all HR-related regulations.
  • Supports HRBPs with triage of HR inbox emails and directs requests to proper HR point of contact as necessary.
  • Participate in any necessary auditing processes.
  • Participates in new hire orientations and onboarding of new employees.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, state, federal laws and regulatory changes, trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Successfully passes background check and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. 

  • 0-2 years of Human Resources experience 

.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks when appropriate. 

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS systems. 

  • Successfully completes New Hire Safety Orientation and annual recertification.

The HR Generalist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the HR Generalist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the HR Generalist should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently 

.

Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
