Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will bring extensive professional experience and an adaptable outlook to our fast paced and changing environment. The Director of Human Resources will oversee all Project on-site HR operations including full lifecycle recruiting in support of workforce planning, onboarding of new employees, benefits administration, employee relations / workers compensation, employee recognition and training, and administration of policies and procedures.

- Establish and manage ongoing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property level leadership teams.
- Partner with the other members of the Homewood Executive Team to deliver on business-critical HR initiatives and ensure alignment of HR related programs, processes, and projects with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Services and Administration
- Ensure outstanding service focus by delivering value-add, best in class human resources support to employees and internal customers.
- Establish and manage ongoing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property level leadership teams.
- Partner with the other members of the Homewood Executive Team to deliver on business-critical HR initiatives and ensure alignment of HR related programs, processes, and projects with strategic business objectives.
- Organizes and manages new employee onboarding, conducting orientation, and administering all onboarding paperwork including benefits enrollment, etc.
- Administers offboarding, including working with managers to conduct terminations both voluntary and involuntary, and conducting exit interviews.
- Performs benefits administration and communicates benefits information to employees, including as part of onboarding and open enrollment periods; partners in coordination with Project Finance leader(s) and insurance brokers for benefit selections and open enrollment implementation.
- Creates content and delivers onboarding, compliance, and service training curriculum as requested and in support of corporate initiatives.
- Work with stakeholders to identify training needs, provide training resources, assign, and monitor progress towards completion, and localize content and delivery when possible.
- Create, implement, and monitor safety programs and additional risk related or standard operating procedures for employees, including providing training and ensuring compliance.
- Develops informal and formal employee recognition programs within scope of employer brand and culture.
- Partner with payroll team for both weekly & bi-weekly payroll processing along with having primary oversight of the Company’s retirement plan.
- Be the point person for employee housing, to include sourcing goods & furnishings, manage arrivals & departures, and address any concerns or issues timely.
Talent Management
- Partners with hiring managers to execute against talent needs including determining staffing needs and reviewing market compensation for key roles.
- Responsible for full life cycle recruiting, for both exempt and non-exempt roles, including job posting, phone screens, coordinating candidate interviews, and assisting in the offer letter, background screening and reference check processes.
- Oversees the quality of content in the applicant tracking systems.
- Assists hiring managers in writing and keeping job descriptions up to date.
- Supports performance review process and administrates annual compensation adjustments.
- Manage and administer mobility (internal and global) of talent across projects ensuring business continuity, delivery of business objectives, compliance with jurisdictional laws, as well as an optimal employee experience.
- Oversee the International recruitment processes consisting of J1 Visa’s.
Employee Relations and Compliance
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Enforces consistency with company policies and procedures and participates in policy reviews, influencing where appropriate to improve employee experience.
- Responsible for employee relations, including workers compensation administration and internal investigations as necessary.
- Support and coach managers to address and resolve a wide variety of Employee Relations challenges and performance issues.
- Ensures all employee information is accurate, up to date and organized, per company standards and in data systems (payroll and HRIS)
- Develops and maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures company’s compliance.
