Pre-Billing Specialist

Starting Pay $18.85/hour

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00AM to 5:30PM

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Position: Pre-Billing Specialist

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Billing Supervisor

Status: Full-Time

Supervises: None

Primary Function: 

Under general supervision and administrative direction, the Pre-Billing Specialist processes all aspects of pre-billing for ambulance services, from obtaining and updating the correct information to creating invoices. Performs a variety of routine and non-routine office and administrative support duties, researches, analyzes, and responds to matters within established guidelines, processes, and procedures. This position is the primary back-up and support for the headquarters front desk.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have completed high school diploma (or GED equivalent).
  • One (1) year full-time work experience in a pre-biller position, or in a healthcare setting with experience processing insurance.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public sector work experience in the medical billing field.
  • Working knowledge of AZ specific billing.
  • Work experience with ambulance billing.
