ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

MSD is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team!

Join a dynamic project team as an Assistant Project Manager, where you'll play a vital role in driving operational excellence from pre-construction through closeout. This position supports Project Managers by preparing key project documentation, generating submittals and RFIs, issuing purchase orders and subcontracts, and ensuring timely and accurate permit submissions. You’ll act as a key liaison between field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors—coordinating logistics and resolving on-site challenges to maintain project momentum. With responsibilities ranging from equipment take-offs and document control in AutoDesk Build to assembling O&M manuals for job closeout, this role demands precision, proactive communication, and a commitment to quality. The Assistant Project Manager provides support to the Project Managers by reviewing submittals, writing contracts/ purchase orders, taking counts of equipment and devices from specifications and plans, coordinating sub-contractor activities, and other duties as assigned. The Assistant Project Manager supports the total quality effort by identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external clients 100% of the time.

General Requirements:

• General knowledge of Plumbing & HVAC Systems
• Working knowledge of Adobe® Products, especially Acrobat
• Working knowledge of AutoDesk Build desired
• Ability to obtain Confidential, or higher, level security clearance preferred
• Valid unencumbered US Driver’s license
• 1 or more years’ experience with Permitting process

• Associate degree in Construction Management or similar field desired
• 1-3 years’ experience in construction field
