Shop Assistant - Rushford, MN

Days/Hours: Mondays-Fridays, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Position Status: Full-Time

The Company:
JMW Enterprises is a Full-Service Dealer of New and Pre-Owned Electronic Assembly Equipment.  The primary focus is the acquisition, refurbishing and reselling of used electronic assembly equipment. Some of the equipment we specialize in includes Screen printers, Board Handling Conveyors, Reflow Ovens, Wave Solder, Selective Solder, SMT Feeders, Through Hole Insertion, and much more. Established in 1979 and located in Rushford Minnesota, JMW Enterprises inspects, tests, and verifies all equipment carefully so that it meets and exceeds expectations.

The Role: 

Our Shop Assistant will work independently to complete a variety of tasks.  This position is primarily responsible for handling shipping and receiving, and setting up new product equipment. This position may also assist with cleaning equipment and janitorial duties within the facility. The individual filling this position needs to have basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

You will spend your time on the following responsibilities:

• Setting up New Products includes:

  • Unpackaging product and equipment

  • Clean and perform checklist on all product and equipment

  • Label and test

  • Repackage

• Performing receiving and shipping duties on equipment and products which include:

  • Loading and unloading trucks

  • Packaging part orders and deliver to carriers

  • Inspecting products

• Cleaning machines and equipment as needed

• Janitorial duties within the facility

• Other tasks as assigned

We are excited about you if you have:

• The ability to self-manage and work independently

• Experience operating moving equipment

• A valid driver’s license (required)

• Basic mechanical skills

• Troubleshooting skills

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling

• Ability to walk, stand, and sit

• Lift up to 50 pounds or more independently
