Description

Northwest Respiratory Services seeks a Traveling Medical Oxygen Service Technician to join our team in Cedar Falls, IA. This person will be required to travel 50-75% to cover vacancies at our other branches outside of Cedar Falls, IA. They are the face of the company for our customers, providing empathetic and highly accurate communication in support of their health and quality of life. You will educate patients on the use of their equipment, troubleshoot issues, check-in with patients to ensure proper and safe use of their equipment, and build trust with our customers through regular face-to-face interactions. Must have a current Commercial Driver License, minimum of a Class C.

For traveling, you will receive:

A day in the life:

  • Make deliveries in a straight truck or van, up to 16 feet in length
  • Deliver and educate on safe use and care of respiratory equipment at each patient’s residence
  • Document patient interactions for compliance and billing accuracy
  • Resolve patient equipment problems on an as needed basis

Qualifications

Our top candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a Class C CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
  • Current state issued driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle records check, drug test, and DOT physical
  • Ability to lift, pull, push and carry heavy equipment daily. (Equipment can get to 165lbs.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to work with the public and help others obtain a better quality of life
