Qualifications and Skills
- 7+years of professional fundraising experience in a leadership role within a social service/community focused organization
- Demonstrated success cultivating and soliciting 6 and 7 figure gifts
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills, sophisticated interpersonal skills
- Ability to inform, motivate, and inspire colleagues and supporters
- Proven and direct supervisory and management experience of 2+ individuals, with the ability to provide timely feedback in an appropriate manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor management tools, Salesforce experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Previous experience working in the Jewish Community, strongly preferred
- Successful track-record working with nonprofit organization with annual budget of at least $10 million
- Successful leadership experience in building programs, leading teams, managing/motivating staff and creating a strong and successful department
- Experience managing philanthropic related communication and marketing efforts
- Proven track record of working in concert with other organization-related business channels, providing staff/team leadership and management, and driving key initiatives and projects forward to achieve measurable results
- Passion for the mission of the JCC, and the ability to compellingly articulate its unique value proposition
- Bachelor’s degree required, CFRE a plus
Benefits Overview
Full-Time employees of the JCC are considered benefits-eligible.
The JCC contributes a portion of medical, dental, and vision plan premiums. The JCC proudly pays for 100% of Basic Life Insurance, AD&D, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage for benefits eligible employees. We also provide additional voluntary benefit plans.
The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age with no waiting period. The JCC matches 50% of employee contributions, up to 3%, on a 5-year vesting schedule.
Paid Time Off is a day-one benefit, accrued based on years of service and in compliance with Colorado Health Families & Workplaces Act. First-year, benefits-eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in their first year of service. The JCC also provides paid-holidays and benefits-eligible employees are awarded up to 4 additional “Floating Holidays” per year, prorated based on date of hire. After two years employment, senior level staff (Directors and above) qualify for the JCC unlimited paid time off program (details and policies to be discussed during hiring process.
Full-Time employees are also eligible for a wide range of discounts, including up to 50% off for the JCC’s Preschool and Summer Camp childcare programs, free and discounted tickets to Mizel Arts and Culture events, discounted program and class costs, and more!
Full-Time employees of the JCC receive a complementary family gym membership, which includes year-round access to the JCC’s fitness center and heated pool.
