Program Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Program Manager to join our team. This position will manage key government and commercial contracts related to the design, development, and delivery of portable and transportable GEO, MEO and LEO antenna systems. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented leader with experience in managing complex programs, maintaining client relationships, coordinating between cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely and successful execution of projects in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Oversee the execution of projects from inception to delivery, ensuring milestones, timelines, and budgets are met. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for government and commercial clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts and ensure all deliverables are met in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project scope, timelines, or budget. Develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on project progress, budget, and performance metrics. Provide and communicate status to senior leadership and clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, sales, quality, etc.) to ensure the successful execution of each project.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and certifications.
  • Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring the allocation of resources and expenses align with program goals. Monitor spending and make adjustments as necessary to keep the project within budget.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for each project, including meeting notes, project plans, risk logs, and financial reports.
  • Organic Growth: Contribute to the company’s organic growth objectives by identifying opportunities for new business, expanding existing client relationships, and supporting proposals for follow-on work or new contract awards .

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field or in the absence of a Bachelor's degree 7+ years of related work experience .
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes (FAR, DFARS) and commercial contract requirements.
  • Proven experience with managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to executives and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or equivalent).
  • PMP or similar certification preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with antenna systems and related technologies, including portable and transportable antenna solutions.
  • Experience working with government agencies (DoD, DHS, etc.) or major commercial clients.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and project management methodologies.
