Summary/Objective

DataPath, Inc. is looking for a dynamic Inside Sales Manager to drive the growth of our global business, with a focus on selling to large defense prime contractors and government end-users. The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and closing sales opportunities across DataPath’s comprehensive portfolio of satellite and wireless communications products, software, and professional services. This position requires an experienced sales leader with a strong background in SATCOM, a sharp business acumen, and a deep understanding of sales, marketing, customer support, strategy, and ethical practices within the global satellite communications market. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate within a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

· Drive inside-sales opportunities to successful order closures.

· Respond proactively and promptly to requests received through RFQs and other inside sales opportunities.

· Utilize SATCOM technical expertise to enhance inside sales efforts and engage effectively with customers.

· Build and maintain strong relationships between internal teams and execution groups to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Collaborate efficiently with internal teams to identify appropriate technical solutions for opportunities and determine product pricing using company pricing tools.

· Successfully navigate and comprehend the requirements of the DoD procurement environment.

· Work across multifunctional teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date inside-sales forecasts.

· Identify and pursue business growth opportunities through robust customer relationships.

· Expand sales with existing customers, growing the sales pipeline and achieving performance targets.

· Manage the entire inside-sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, pipeline management, sales forecasting, proposal generation, and contract closure.

Reporting

  • The Inside Sales Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development, based in Duluth, GA.

Working Conditions

· This is a full-time, onsite position at the Duluth, GA facility.

Travel

· Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related technical field.

· Additional certifications or training in sales or satellite communications (e.g., SATCOM certifications, technical sales training) are a plus.

Experience:

· At least 5-7 years of experience in inside sales, with a focus on satellite communications or related industries.

· Proven track record of successfully managing a sales pipeline and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

· Strong technical background in satellite communications, with a good understanding of satellite systems, terminals, and associated technologies.

· Experience in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and post-sale support.

· Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales performance tracking tools.

· Previous experience in customer support and relationship management, with a proven ability to think creatively and deliver customer-focused solutions.

· Knowledge of the satellite communications market, industry trends, and key players.

· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product development, and customer service.

· Familiarity with government and defense procurement processes (e.g., DoD contracts) is a plus.
