The Payroll Analyst is responsible for processing the company bi-weekly payroll in Costpoint and Paycom accurately and on time.  This role is also responsible for the processing and analyzing of payroll related transactions according to company policy and government regulations.  Other responsibilities include setting up new employees, maintaining the system accurately and up-to-date, and system audits.

  • Utilizing third party payroll systems, such as Paycom
  • Audit reports and supporting documentation to ensure payroll is accurate.
  • Provide timely customer service to employees, meeting established SLAs and ensuring research and responses are thorough
  • Facilitate local statutory payments
  • Assist in tax reporting, quarter end and year end payroll activities
  • Coordinate interaction between payroll stake holders for updates and compliance
  • Support continuous improvement projects and efforts
  • Maintain up to date documentation and procedures and implementing SOX controls
  • Ad Hoc reporting and other projects and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree with 3 years of experience or 5 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of one to three year’s payroll experience; Paycom and/or Cost Point experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to forge productive relationships with customers and peers
  • Experience handling confidential issues in a professional and discreet manner
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strong focus, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, self-motivated environment with minimal supervision
