DataPath is seeking a Customer Service Engineer in support of the GTACS II STT Sustainment Program.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the maintenance, operation and performance of Ku-Band Mobile Terminals.
  • Assume the on-site leadership role with customer satisfaction as the primary goal.
  • Working with site personnel to:
  • Maintain satellite communication system availability above acceptable levels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any identified circuit or equipment outages or degradation.
  • Provide interim reports as necessary, based on particular site conditions and/or problems.
  • Maintain the site (including electronics and office) in a professional and clean manner.
  • Perform the on-site duties which enable DataPath to successfully implement contractual duties relative to mobile terminal operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security clearance. Top Secret is acceptable.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience as a FSR or related activities within the last 10 years; conducting maintenance on systems in the field; a strong technical understanding of military systems; a strong mechanical background.
  • Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to obtain an international driver’s license.
  • Strategic or tactical multi-channel satellite communications experience.
  • Strong grasp of satellite communications operational theory.

Must be hands-on person with the knowledge to operate and configure the following equipment to include, but not limited to:

  • Antenna controller, satellite acquisition 
  • HPA/TWT, LNA/LNB - Low Noise 
  • Fiber/Coax/Ethernet Cable Work 
  • FDMA/TDMA modems (satellite modems) 
  • Up-converters, down-converters
  • X, C, KA, Ku-band, Tri-band Satellite Terminals

Preferred Experience working with:

  • Cisco routers 
  • ViaSat Linkway Modems 
  • PBX - T1/E1, FXS, Adds/Drops
